Not listed here?
The city directory provides local guidance, but your document does not have to fit one of these city pages before you can request assistance.
Start with the national notary legalisation service
If your city is not listed, you are flexible about location or you simply want the most practical Dutch route, start with the main notary legalisation service.
Not sure whether you need a notary?
Notary legalisation by city
Do I have to use a notary in the city where I live?
Not necessarily. The practical location depends on the notarial procedure, your circumstances and whether personal attendance is required.
What if my city is not listed?
You can still send your case. The city pages provide local guidance, but Apostille Assist can review the practical Dutch route based on your document and requirements.
Can I request help for a city marked “Coming soon”?
Yes. “Coming soon” only means that the dedicated city guide has not yet been published. You can already submit your document and requirements.
Can you arrange the apostille after the notary?
Yes. Where an apostille forms part of the required route, Apostille Assist can coordinate the subsequent Dutch court submission.
Can you help if I am outside the Netherlands?
Yes. Whether you personally need to attend a notary depends on the specific notarial act. The requirement can be reviewed before travel or appointment arrangements are made.
Tell me what you need. The city can come second.
Send the document, destination country and the instructions from the receiving authority. The appropriate Dutch notarial and apostille route can be reviewed before external arrangements begin.
