Dutch VOG
apostille for use abroad.
Need to use a Dutch VOG abroad and the receiving authority asks for an apostille? I can coordinate the paper VOG, submit the original to a Dutch district court for apostille, and add sworn translation or international delivery when required.
The apostille route in one coordinated process
The original paper certificate is needed for legalisation
The apostille is issued by a Dutch district court
Add a sworn translation when the receiving authority requires another language
Return the completed document set to you or your representative
First check whether your destination actually requires an apostille
An apostille is not automatically required for every country or every VOG. The correct legalisation route depends on the destination country, the type of document and the receiving authority. If an apostille is required, it is placed on the original Dutch paper VOG by a district court.
You already have the paper VOG
If the original paper VOG is already in hand, the route can usually move directly to the required Dutch court apostille, subject to the destination requirements.
You still need the VOG
I can coordinate the VOG application first and make sure the certificate is requested on paper so that it can be legalised for use abroad.
You also need a translation
A sworn translation can be added after the VOG route. Depending on the receiving country, the translation itself may also need an additional authentication step.
What stage is your VOG apostille route at?
Select what you already have and what the receiving authority asks for. The checker gives you a likely document route and prepares a WhatsApp message with the details.

Dutch VOG apostille submission
The core service covers preparation and coordination of the Dutch VOG route. Sworn translation, apostille and other document steps are added only when your receiving authority or representative requires them.
VOG route coordination
For clients who need an apostille on a Dutch VOG and want the court submission and international document route handled in one process.
What I need to check your VOG route
I first match the Dutch apostille route to the purpose of your VOGn nationality file. This prevents adding apostille or translation steps that your receiving office does not actually request.
Your personal details
Full name, date and place of birth, nationality or nationalities and the other details needed for the Dutch apostille route.
The VOGn request
Send the relevant checklist, email, letter or screenshot showing what criminal-record document the receiving authority or your representative asks for.
Your Netherlands connection
Tell me whether you still need the Dutch VOG or already have it, so I can start at the correct stage of the VOG route.
Translation or apostille instructions
If your lawyer, Conservatória or other receiving office specifically mentions translation, apostille or legalisation, include that wording so the route can be matched correctly.
Do not assume every VOG file needs exactly the same document chain. The fastest way to avoid unnecessary steps is to send the exact request. I will check the Dutch side of the route before work begins.
Hi, I’m Aaron. I handle your document personally.
When you contact Apostille Assist about a VOGn visa or international use file, you deal directly with me. I review the Dutch VOG requirement, coordinate the agreed steps in the Netherlands and keep you informed throughout the process. No call centre and no handovers between different case managers.
Frequently asked questions
What Dutch police certificate is used for VOGn visa or international use?
When a VOGn nationality file asks for a police certificate or criminal-record document from the Netherlands, the Dutch document normally used is the Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG).
Do I need a Dutch VOG if I previously lived in the Netherlands?
It can be relevant when your VOGn nationality procedure asks for criminal-record documents from countries where you have lived. Your own checklist or representative should determine which countries must be covered.
Does the Dutch VOG need a Sworn translation?
VOGn nationality guidance can require foreign criminal-record documents to be accompanied by a certified Sworn translation. I can coordinate a sworn Sworn translation when it is required for your file.
Does the VOG always need an apostille for VOG?
No. I do not automatically add an apostille. The correct route depends on the receiving office and the instructions for your nationality application. If an apostille is requested, it can be arranged on the Dutch VOG.
Can you help if I no longer live in the Netherlands?
Yes. The service is designed for people abroad as well. I can prepare and coordinate the Dutch VOG route and then continue with the agreed translation, apostille and delivery steps.
Can the finished documents be sent to VOG?
Yes. Once the required Dutch steps are complete, the physical documents can be sent to you, your representative or another agreed address.
