EMA eCPP apostille
for Brazil.
Need an EMA-issued Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product prepared for use in Brazil? Submit the electronic certificate and the Brazilian receiving requirement for assessment and apostille coordination.
Your EMA CPP may exist only as a digitally signed PDF.
EMA has issued certificates for medicinal products electronically since March 2020. The electronic certificate is digitally signed and EMA no longer issues the former conventional paper certificate.
This means that companies preparing a regulatory submission abroad may hold only the electronic EMA-issued certificate, even where the receiving process separately asks for an apostille or other authentication.
Preparing an EMA eCPP for a Brazilian regulatory procedure.
A Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product can form part of pharmaceutical regulatory documentation. Brazilian requirements depend on the specific application, product and receiving authority.
Brazil participates in the Hague Apostille Convention. Where the receiving party specifically requests an apostille on the EMA certificate, Apostille Assist can assess the document and coordinate the applicable handling route.
We recommend providing the written requirement from the Brazilian receiving party whenever available. This helps ensure that the requested authentication matches the intended submission.
From electronic EMA certificate to Brazil-ready handling.
Submit the EMA-issued eCPP together with the Brazilian destination requirement. We assess the certificate and coordinate the required apostille and document handling process.

Already have your EMA eCPP?
Send the certificate and the Brazilian requirement for an initial assessment. You do not need to explain the legalisation route yourself.
The receiving requirement comes first.
Apostille requirements should not be assumed solely because the certificate will be used in Brazil. The applicable documentation depends on the particular regulatory procedure and instructions of the receiving authority.
Apostille Assist reviews the certificate and the stated Brazilian requirement before confirming the available handling route.
