IRCC has asked you for a police certificate from the Netherlands.
For Canada, the Dutch police certificate is called a Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG). IRCC may request it while processing a permanent residence application. If you are no longer registered in the Netherlands, you can apply directly to Justis as a non-resident.
Send your full request letter. I check the document request, deadline and the information needed for the Dutch VOG form.
I prepare the non-resident VOG form and help identify the correct screening profile for visa and emigration.
You receive a checked application package ready to submit to Justis by email, from anywhere in the world.
A complete VOG application avoids unnecessary delay.
Justis requires a completed VOG form, a copy of valid ID, payment proof and evidence of the purpose of the application. Your IRCC request letter is the key supporting document when IRCC does not sign the organisation section of the form.
Your application package
For non-residentsCompleted VOG form
The form must be completed accurately and signed by you. For an IRCC request, the purpose is Canadian permanent residence.
Valid passport copy
Justis needs a clear copy of your valid passport or other accepted identity document.
IRCC letter and payment proof
Attach the complete IRCC request letter and proof that the Justis application fee has been paid.
Apply as soon as you receive the IRCC request.
Justis generally states a processing time of around one to four weeks after receiving a complete application. The original VOG is sent by post to the address on the form, so allow additional time for international delivery.
Important for an IRCC deadline
If the VOG is not ready before the date in your IRCC letter, submit proof that the VOG has been requested and paid for through the appropriate IRCC channel before the deadline. Include a short explanation and retain your Justis confirmation. Whether additional time is granted remains an IRCC decision.
