Dutch documentsfor Hong Kong probate
Need Dutch civil-status documents for a probate or estate matter in Hong Kong? I can coordinate the Dutch document route, apostille and international delivery.
Send the Dutch side of the probate matter to me.
Whether you are a family member, executor or law firm, I can help move the required Dutch documents through the appropriate route without you coordinating each Dutch step separately.
Do you or your client have DigiD?
That can make the first step easier. If the relevant municipality offers an online request route, the Dutch certificate may be requested online and sent directly to me for the apostille step.
If the municipality allows it, you or your client can request the document online and use my Amsterdam address as the delivery address. Once it arrives, I can arrange the apostille.
Tell me which Dutch document is needed and where the underlying event was registered. I can then check what may be possible from the Netherlands.
Choose the Dutch document you need.
For document-specific guidance, use the relevant service page below.
Dutch death certificate apostille for Hong Kong
For a Dutch death certificate required in a Hong Kong probate or estate matter.
Dutch marriage certificate apostille for Hong Kong
For proving a marriage or family relationship in connection with the estate.
Dutch birth certificate apostille for Hong Kong
For proving parentage, identity or another family relationship.
You do not need to know the Dutch procedure first.
If you only know which Dutch document is being requested, send me that requirement. If a civil-status document still needs to be obtained, the municipality where the event was registered is often the most useful starting point.

Frequently asked questions.
What is DigiD?
DigiD is the Dutch digital identification system used for online services from Dutch government organisations. If you or your client has DigiD, the relevant municipality may offer an online route for requesting the required certificate.
Do I need to already have the Dutch certificate?
No. If it still needs to be obtained, tell me which document is required and the Dutch municipality where the death, marriage or birth was registered.
Which Dutch documents can be relevant to Hong Kong probate?
Common examples include a Dutch death certificate and, depending on the estate, documents used to prove marriage, parentage or another family relationship.
Can you arrange the apostille in the Netherlands?
Yes. Where the document is suitable for apostille, I can coordinate the Dutch apostille step and forward the completed original.
Can a Hong Kong law firm contact you in Chinese?
Yes. Enquiries in English or Chinese are welcome, and I can coordinate directly with the firm handling the probate or estate matter.
Can the completed documents be sent directly to Hong Kong?
Yes. Tracked express delivery can be arranged to a law firm, client, executor or another requested address.
