Vietnam’s document route is changing in September 2026.
Vietnam’s Apostille Convention takes effect on 11 September 2026. For documents needed around that date, the applicable route should be checked before submission.
Do not assume the new apostille route already applies before the Convention takes effect for Vietnam.
An eligible Dutch public document can fall under the Apostille Convention where it applies between the Netherlands and Vietnam.
Send the request from Vietnam and a scan of the document first if you are unsure which route applies.
