Opening a company abroad
using Dutch documents.
A foreign notary, registry, bank or formation agent may ask for Dutch personal or corporate evidence before registering a company, branch or subsidiary. Apostille Assist helps identify the required Dutch documents and coordinate the agreed certification, legalisation and delivery route.
Choose the right level of support
Use apostille submission when every required Dutch document is available in an accepted and apostille-ready form. Choose document coordination when the document list, signatory evidence, notarial certification, translation or destination route still needs review.
Apostille Submission

- Submission for a Dutch apostille

Document Coordination
For a company-formation file involving several personal or corporate documents, certification, translation or international delivery.
- Review of the foreign checklist and Dutch documents available

- Additional costs confirmed before work begins

Frequently asked questions
Which Dutch documents are commonly requested when opening a company abroad?
Common requests include identity and address evidence, a KvK extract, Articles of Association, corporate resolutions, powers of attorney and proof of signing authority. The exact list is country-specific.
Does every Dutch document need an apostille?
No. The destination, document type and receiving organisation determine whether apostille, embassy legalisation, an exemption or no authentication applies.
Can a passport copy receive an apostille?
A plain passport copy is not automatically apostille-ready. It may first require certification by a Dutch notary or another accepted authority.
Is a KvK extract enough to prove signing authority?
Sometimes, but not always. The foreign recipient may also require Articles of Association, a board resolution, notarial evidence or a separate authority statement.
Should the documents be translated before apostille?
Not automatically. Confirm the required language, translator status and whether the recipient wants the original, apostille and attachments translated.
Can Apostille Assist advise on the foreign company structure?
Apostille Assist coordinates the Dutch document route. The foreign legal form, tax position and incorporation rules should be confirmed with a qualified adviser in the destination country.
